With high healthy fat content, avocados are an amazing food. They contain primarily oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid that’s found in olive oil, macadamia nut oils, and other nuts. This is a monounsaturated fat that is known to lower cholesterol.

Avocados are also very high in fiber. One whole avocado contains between and 17 grams of fiber. So maybe we should say an avocado a day keeps the doctor away!
